Lucidiom Inc. is the leading provider of flexible and brand-independent photo kiosk solutions. With OEM and independent retail clients around the globe, Lucidiom is the cornerstone of the “Go Beyond” digital photography movement, encouraging and enabling retailers to push past the revenue dip caused by decreasing film sales and establish profitable suite of innovative products for digital imaging that include the APM photo kiosk, Photo Finale website, Pocket Pics iPhone app and Lab 50 production management software.
Lucidiom is committed to delivering unsurpassed customization, brand reinforcement, service and profitable digital photofinishing solutions to its customers. Founded in 2001 by a team of digital imaging industry pioneers, Lucidiom is based in Northern Virginia’s high-technology corridor, just outside Washington DC.
Formed in June 2003, Lucidiom Finance Limited is a privately held company headquartered in the United Kingdom that exclusively sells, markets and supports Lucidiom products in Europe.
The Executive Team
Steve Giordano, Sr.
CEO and Co-Founder

Steve Giordano, Sr. brings to Lucidiom more than 35 years of experience managing large organizations in the U.S., Europe and Asia, and since 1994 has focused his efforts on the photofinishing and digital imaging industry. Steve Sr. was co-founder, CEO and president of Floppy Shots and Digital Now Inc. Steve Sr. successfully managed strong annual growth during his four and a half years at Digital Now, including a 320% revenue increase from 1999 to 2000, when the company achieved 74% of the global market in high-speed scanning. Steve Sr. was also co-founder, CEO and President of two earlier companies, Competitive Solutions, Inc. and Commix SP Incorporated, both of which developed multimedia and digital imaging technologies for commercial and vertical industry segments. Steve Sr. spent 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring in 1989 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In his final tour of duty, stationed at the Pentagon, he designed a new budget system that was successfully implemented by the U.S. Army worldwide.
Jason Pareti
CTO and Co-Founder

Jason has guided Lucidiom’s technical operations from idea conception to market leader. With more than a decade of experience producing desktop, kiosk and web software in the photo industry, Jason oversees product design and development for the software that powers more than 64,000 kiosks and websites worldwide. Jason’s team has realized Lucidiom’s vision of a global network of interconnected kiosks, lab management stations and online retail destinations, and has been honored with numerous distinguished awards from PMA, DIMA, CES and PTN. Prior to Lucidiom, Jason was part of the founding team at Digital Now, serving as the Director of Internet and Consumer Development. Jason holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Bansi Shroff
Vice President Worldwide Sales

Bansi has more than 30 years experience in general management, strategic sales planning, forecasting and business development in U.S. and international markets. Throughout his career, he has excelled in forging alliances, training effective sales forces, establishing OEM distributorships and developing strategies for increasing profitability. He has also demonstrated success in managing turnarounds, opening markets and introducing new products, with particular expertise in the photofinishing industry. As Director of International Sales at Sienna Imaging, Bansi increased international sales from $500,000 to $5 million in one year (1999-2000). As Director of Marketing and Sales at Sienna Imaging, which was acquired by Gretag, Bansi grew revenue from $3.5 million to $50 million in five years (1994-1999). At Metrum, Inc., a Honeywell spin-off, he managed new product introductions in photofinishing, and developed marketing plans that generated a $3.5 million revenue stream in two years.
Rachel Van Tassel
VP, Marketing and Co-Founder
Rachel started with Lucidiom at the company’s inception in 2001 designing the APM’s intuitive user interface and workflow. Currently she oversees all aspects of corporate and product marketing, including trade show management, material and website development and product branding. Before joining Lucidiom, Rachel was a graphic designer for Digital Now and Value America. She has worked as a freelance and staff news photographer. Rachel studied English and Spanish at the University of Virginia.
Michael A Clayton-Gale
Managing Director, Lucidiom UK and Europe

Michael is responsible for the establishment and development of the UK and European business units of Lucidiom Inc. He has over 20 years of international experience drawn from successful senior management positions for a U.S. oil corporation and several new European ventures and start-up businesses. He is a graduate-qualified, hands-on director with a results-oriented style. Recently, Michael held the position of CEO for a new Internet-based B2B business service company. He has also served as a Managing Director for a UK retail foods company, which required specialized structuring for fast growth. Prior to that, he was the managing director for a group of companies in the food service and retail markets.
Steve Giordano, Jr.
President and Co-Founder

Steve Jr. has over a decade of experience in managing software design and development. Under his leadership, Lucidiom has successfully deployed thousands of kiosks worldwide to mass retailers and has secured numerous retail and OEM agreements. Prior to founding Lucidiom, Steve co-founded Floppy Shots and was the co-founder, CTO and Vice-President of Digital Now. Products developed at Floppy Shots support the underlying architecture for Kodak’s PhotoNet and Kodak Express, and those introduced at Digital Now helped advance the company through an IPO. Steve lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, son and daughter.
Richard Glomb
VP, Business Development

Rick has been a retail innovator in the photo processing industry for more than 25 years. Before joining Lucidiom in early 2005 to lead the company’s product and marketing development, he was the manager of Eckerd’s Corporate Photo Department for 11 years, where he oversaw the operations of the chain’s photo departments at more than 2000 outlets. While at Eckerd, he authored training textbooks and other procedural materials for photo operations, trained frontline management and developed web-based online learning tools. Previously Rick was a technical sales representative for Noritsu America Inc. and a western area franchise technical manager for MotoPhoto Inc. Rick graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York.
